User Experience Design and Managing Priorities w/ Harry Max
“We were shipping six linear feet of technical documentation with every system that we sold. And it occurred to me that a lot of what we were documenting was just bad design and challenges using the system. I proposed that we take a look at what documentation we would prefer to write … and adjust the software to match the documentation.”
In this episode, Adam talks to Harry Max about user experience design and prioritization. Harry is an executive coach and the author of Managing Priorities: How to Create Better Plans and Make Smarter Decisions. The two discuss topics including why prioritization is important in decision-making and planning, how fear can hinder effective decisions, and strategies to improve productivity. Books mentioned in the podcast include: The Timeless Way of Building by Christopher Alexander, Wiring the Winning Organization by Gene Kim and Steven J. Spear, Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman, Deep Work by Cal Newport.

Bulletpoint after bullet point...

Saludos desde México!, I send you a warm greeting from Mexico.!
At 30 minutes AI, Big Data and Cloud is being explained. In the upcoming slides the three are being showed, but the first slide is AI instead of Big Data that is being talked about. I Think this slide is missing. Cheers
Greeting from India 🇮🇳
Its lovely when experts read prompts to talk about their products, it builds so much trust and relationship.
Would be great if same can be done for Finance, ie AgileFinance Explorer
Excited for co-fund, looking forward for this. How do we address security related questions , like we don’t want our strategy data on cloud
hello @advanceagility, CoFund was built and tested with a cohort of international companies from the Global 2000 and their portfolio professionals and advisors, this ensured our designs have the needed security and privacy. Check out scaledagile.com/about-scaled-agile/security/, also we're happy to connect you with our security team for additional questions.

How long do corporations usually put up with this BS before abandoning it? Got any burndown metrics on that?

Is SAfe studio for Enterprise only or can individual register to explore and learn in a seamless way?
Good question. You can join as an individual member and learn more about available options here: scaledagile.com/safe-studio/
Feels like this is a hybrid of ITIL & the agile framework
The 6.0 upgrade is awesome. The Scaled Agile team has demonstrated that they are truly agile by updating the foundation by listening to feedback from the market. Good Deal!
Disabling dislikes is quite shameless for an Agile company, denying feedback 10/10 ! :)
Publicly viewable dislikes are automatically disabled by UA-cam. Creators cannot turn them on. But we encourage constructive discussion and feedback in the comments.
@@ScaledAgileInc There is a plugin called "Return UA-cam Dislikes," and many people use that as a system to provide feedback. As an Agile company, again, I see zero value in turning them specifically off as you have done. It is generally known that users on UA-cam use this feature to gain insights on videos before watching any content (as it could be a scam). Assume a situation where a scam UA-cam channel uses your channel name, which is not impossible, uploads the same video as you did, and puts scam ads during the video. I, as a user, would then see that multiple users have disliked it because it's a scam, and I would not waste my time with it. But you are promoting UA-cam's horrible decision to turn off dislikes and promoting the opposite of openness and transparency. I hope you can do better. Here's the full feedback, as you asked. :)
@@ScaledAgileInc Amazing! Now you even contradict yourself. WOW. Your newst video can't even comment. You evidently can't take any criticism.
You're right about the comments! We will turn them on for future uploads.
Funny how abstract the whole presentation is. It's all about manipulating concepts and jargons, not enough about talking about what happens actually in teams, not enough real examples.
This crap needs to go the way of the dinosaurs. Scamming businesses into thinking they're moving faster when in reality it just slows everybody down and creates a hostile work environment.
I am starting my journey as an RTE and I am so exited to start using SAFe 6.0 🎉🎉
Sorry, this was too staged for me to get past the first few minutes. You can see them both reading from teleprompters. I'll way for the book.
Wonderful great consolidation; eager to know more and adopt! 👏
This was one of the best launch video ever. The overview of changes was valued added and ignited excitement to review the site! Thank you.
It was an amazing launch! We are so excited for the new SAFe 6.0 update! We can't wait to embark this journey together and learn all the new things SAFe 6.0 is bringing us!
SAFe 6.0 and SAFe Studio - That was a Great Product Launch !!
Awesome !! Let's continue our transformations with this great resources 😃
The upgrade guide needs to be updated to refer to 6.0 instead of 5.0 in this line: Professional Development Units (PDUs) By learning about SAFe 5.0 through this free, self-directed online learning,
It is really good to see that the SAFe Framework keeps evolving to adjust to current trends and context.
Looks great. Thank you very much!
Loved the improvements in metrics (SAFe 6.0)!
Really enjoying the professional and engaging presentation of this new version : )
How will upgrades to Enablements work with 6.0?
Love the tie-in to the Scrum Master as the team coach. This is definitely a value add into the understanding of the role and alignment to the intentionality to 'Be' Agile. Agile is not the mechanical application of the framework but a behavioral change in the way we work together and deliver.
Happy to see the LEAN/agile added
Excited to know the news 🙂
Just take my money already!
Will this live event become a recording straight away?
Looking forward to it!

15 mins to go, cxciting!
